What to Expect
SBCKIDS strives to create a safe and engaging space where kids can learn about Jesus and have fun doing it. At SBCKIDS our focus is to share and teach the Word of God in an understandable way and follow our church’s mission in “Following Jesus and Making Disciples”
Step 1
Kids are checked in at one of two stations:
Upstairs Rea Hall for 3 years old – 5th Grade
Downstairs Rea Hall in Nursery for younger kids and babies (Birth-age 3)
You will be given a name tag and a bar code for pick up. (Please come promptly after service to pick up your child, 5th Graders will be released at close of service to check in with parents)
Step 2
Older Kids- Our sessions begin with an exciting ‘Big Group’ gathering, where all ages come together for lively worship, fun games, videos and entertaining skits pertaining to our weekly lesson. In the second half of our time together, children break into age-appropriate classrooms for more personalized learning of their Bible lessons. Here, they will experience a more in-depth teaching, crafts, games and meaningful discussions.
Nursery- they will be greeted by our friendly staff into our Nursery and Play area. Here they will be cared for while you as the parent/guardian can have the peace of mind while attending our gatherings next door in the Main Sanctuary. Kids will be able to play, hear Christian music/songs, Bible stories and have snacks.
*NOTE: We do allow parent volunteers to have their kids as helpers at our Ministry Leader’s discretion
*NOTE: All adult volunteers are finger printed and have cleared FBI background checks to work with kids
