I stated during my message this last Sunday night that every Christian is a theologian, a good one or a bad one. In context, I was sharing how easy and all too common it is for Christians to avoid hard truths or deep study. Sometimes we do this to avoid confrontation, or we value experience over biblical truth, other times we do it because we are just plain lazy! It was my encouragement to us as a church that we would be fully devoted men and women of the word, searching the scriptures for truth Jesus in every passage. It is my prayer we would take the study of God’s word seriously, and then allow that word to change us and move us to be on mission with Jesus Christ!
