This week, we continue to walk through Matthew chapter 12 and the growing conflict between Jesus and the Pharisees, where Jesus challenges the idea that we earn our way to God through rules and performance. Instead, He reveals a better way. One rooted in mercy, compassion, and grace. From healing on the Sabbath to modeling withdrawal and rest, to reminding us that our words reveal what’s really in our hearts, Jesus invites us into a deeper, more honest relationship with Him. This conversation ultimately points us back to the truth that God isn’t after outward perfection—He desires hearts that are surrendered and transformed by His presence.
What have your words been revealing about your heart lately, and how might Jesus be inviting you to let Him more fully fill that space?
