Ken J. Silva
Biography

Ken Silva graduated from California State University in Long Beach in 1970 as a Physical Therapist. There he met the Lord and married his wife Diane.  It was there also where his pastor trained him in how to share his faith.  Ken says it was that training that changed the entire course of his life.

He was thrilled to see God use him to lead patients and associates to Christ and decided to retool himself for a lifetime of ministry.  He attended Talbot Theological Seminary and graduated with a Master of Divinity in 1978.

Ken’s first ministry out of seminary was as Pastor of Evangelism and Church Growth at Big Valley Grace Community Church in Modesto, California. Then in 1985 he planted River Oak Grace Community Church in Oakdale, CA.  The church grew rapidly as he trained people to share their faith and to make disciples of others.  He served there as Founding Pastor for 19 years.

In 2004, Ken earned his Doctor of Ministry degree from Regent University, Virginia Beach, Virginia and transitioned to the ministry of Evangelism Explosion International with which he had volunteered since the early 1980’s.  Through this ministry, Ken has had the privilege of equipping thousands of pastors and laymen all over the world who continue to share their faith and train others to do the same.

Today he serves as Director of the EE Ministries for 28 nations of North America and as Sr. Vice President of Materials Development. In this later capacity he helps oversee the world-wide ministry of Evangelism Explosion that saw over 10 million people come to Christ thru it’s training ministry in 2016.

Ken lives with his wife Diane in Salem Oregon. He says they have been married 45 years, have three happily married sons, and seven “unbelievably beautiful” grandchildren.
