This week, we continue in Matthew 26, where Jesus gathers with His disciples for Passover and introduces the new covenant—a covenant secured by His blood and given for the forgiveness of sins. From the table, we follow Jesus into Gethsemane, where He willingly surrenders His own will to the Father and prepares to face the cross.
This passage reminds us that following Jesus isn’t always about the big, heroic moments we imagine. Often, faithfulness looks like small, uncomfortable acts of obedience: choosing to pray, serve, forgive, hold our tongue, or love someone when it costs us something.
What is your “hour” right now—the small, faithful obedience Jesus is asking of you that you’ve been tempted to avoid or put off?
