Update from Betsy Taylor

Dear Church Family,

I’m excited to share some encouraging news about a ministry that is close to my heart—Peak Women’s Care.

Peak Women’s Care is a Christ-centered nonprofit dedicated to serving women with compassion, support, and practical resources during unplanned pregnancies and beyond. They have been making a powerful impact in our region, and now, we are thrilled to announce that they are opening a new location right here in Truckee, at the former Truckee Gateway Urgent Care building on Donner Pass Road.

We’ve secured the space and are now in the process of raising funds and gathering resources to make it welcoming, functional, and ready to serve women and families in our community.

There are several tenant improvements that need to be completed, and we’re prayerfully asking for your help. Some of the remodel needs include:

New drywall and patching

Electrical work

Plumbing

Interior and exterior painting

New flooring

ADA bathroom construction

Window replacement

New cabinets and countertops

Furnishings and finish work

If you or someone you know is a contractor, tradesperson, or supplier who may be willing to donate time, materials, or offer discounted services, we would be incredibly grateful.

In addition to these physical needs, Peak is also looking for people to serve as volunteer patient advocates and nurses, as well as full paid staff roles for a receptionist and office manager. CARE NET training will be provided. If you feel led to serve in one of these roles, please reach out by emailing mollie@peakwc.org or calling (530) 562-9313.

Thank you for continuing to support this ministry and for being part of what God is doing in our community through Peak Women’s Care. Your prayers, generosity, and willingness to serve make a lasting difference.

With gratitude,

Betsy Taylor
