Pastor Wayne Hoag

Pastor Wayne Hoag was ordained as a minister of the Gospel in January of 1977. While serving as a youth pastor in Twin Falls, Idaho, he received a call to pioneer a new church in the Southern Utah town of Moab. After thirteen years in the desert Southwest, God’s call then brought Pastor Wayne and his family to Truckee.
Wayne has been married for 32 years to his high school sweetheart, Sandy. The two of them have four children, Travis 27, Erin 24, Emily 22, and Ellen 19.
When not ministering in Truckee, Wayne serves as the chaplain for the History Channel Great Race, an annual cross-country rally for vintage cars. For the past three years has represented Focus On The Family in the Great Race by navigating the ministry’s 1941 Cadillac from sea to shining sea.
Whether at home or away from home, Wayne and Sandy’s greatest desire is to bear witness to the love and grace of their Lord Jesus Christ.

Brad Franklin
Associate Pastor

Brad was born and raised in Susanville, CA. At the age of 7 he asked Jesus Christ into his life to be his personal Savior. From that moment on Christ began shaping his life for ministry. At age 19 he accepted a call to full-time ministry. He graduated from California Baptist University in 1976 with a major in Religion and a minor in Business. From there he pastored a small mission church and also served as an interim pastor for a small church. He was then employed in a secular job until accepting a position as Associate Pastor - Administrator for Sierra Bible Church.
Brad’s passion is to see the church functioning smoothly and united together through Christ. His life verses come from Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your Heart, And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight."

Pam Franklin
Church Secretary

Pam was born in Sacramento, California and grew up in the Colusa-Williams, California area. She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at the age of 12. She is married to Brad Franklin, Sierra Bible Church’s Associate Pastor. They have 2 children, Andrea-age 26 and Nick-age 22.
Pam has been Sierra Bible Church’s Secretary for 15 years. Her love and life is first and foremost committed to Jesus Christ whom she serves with all her heart. Colossians 3:1-2, "If then you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God."

Jesse Richardson

Drugs, violence, sorrow and pain filled the Richardson home for many years. At an early age Jesse would find ways to eat and take care of his needs. This was due to the fact his mother would be asleep late into the afternoon recovering from a night of sin. Then by Gods grace, when Jesse was eleven, his mother came home with a message. The message was that of Jesus Christ. At first Jesse threw the message of love and forgiveness off as another drug trip. However, the change in his mom was too strong to ignore. He knew this message was real and needed to be heard. At eleven years young Jesse gave his life and will to God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ. His home life went from pain to the power of God.
Jesse went to San Diego in the fall of 2000 to deepen his walk. There he spent five years serving on staff at a large church in the Clairmont area and sharpening the gifts God gave him. It was in the fall of 2004 the Lord called him full circle to minister to the people of Truckee. Along with his new wife, Alli, It is their desire to see God bring new life to Sierra Bible Church and its home town. Through faith they believe God will change the lives of the young and old in the Lake Tahoe area.
